
Protesters have tried to block ICE agents from detaining migrants in California
Protesters clashed with US federal agents during an immigration raid on a sprawling cannabis farm in California on Thursday.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrived at Glass House Farms south of Camarillo in Ventura County in a convoy of military vehicles.
Protesters, some carrying Mexican flags, tried to block the road, prompting agents to fire tear gas.

Several demonstrators threw rocks at the ICE vehicles, and at least one person was filmed apparently firing a gun towards the officers. There were no reports of injuries.

At least ten people were detained in the raid, according to a local ABC affiliate.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson told ABC that the agents were executing a warrant at the farm. “Our brave officers will continue to enforce the law,” the spokesperson said.
Glass House Farms, which owns a massive cultivation center, bills itself as the largest legal cannabis grower in the world. In a statement on X, the company said it has “fully complied with agent search warrants.”
